Castello di Levizzano Rangone
The Castle stands in the hamlet of Levizzano Rangone, among the hills of Lambrusco Grasparossa, a native vine in the territory of Castelvetro di Modena. The Matildic Tower, located in the centre of the Court, is connected to the feudal Palace by an underground gallery, that is possible to visit during the guided tour.
On the main floor, from the hall, the charming loggia offers a magnificent view over the vineyards. Moreover, several rooms are available as suggestive location to any kind of event (cultural events, exhibitions, conferences, wedding ceremonies and receptions).
The Castle houses ROSSO GRASPA Museum of Wine and Rural Society. Inside there are several testimonies of working life in the fields: agricultural tools, instruments for the manufacture of wood and of grapes and extraordinary photographic evidence pleasantly show the social dynamic and good agricultural practices of the peasant society. ROSSO GRASPA does not exhaust its proposal within the castle walls but invites to continue the visit in the "museum outside the museum", meaning to admire the landscape surrounding the Castle of Levizzano, to walk through the fields and to think that walking could become a practice of sincere and engaging knowledge.
